…If anyone does not stumble in what he says, this one is a spiritually mature man, able to hold in check also his entire body.

Every year, I visit the doctor’s office for my annual physical. I’ve never been too excited about these appointments. I’d rather not hear any bad news. But Psalm 112:7 reminds me not to fear bad reports but to trust in the Lord boldly. So, I walk into each appointment with confidence, free from fear.

For the past decade or so, my test results repeatedly showed that one of my organs’ numbers was running higher than normal.

Since I felt perfectly fine, I brushed it off and ignored it.

But last year, I heard the Lord ask me, “What are you going to do about these abnormal numbers?”

I knew exactly what He meant, so I took action. I began speaking life over the organ in my body. Even though I couldn’t see it with my eyes, I knew it was there and listening.

Every day, I declared:
“My ‘organ’ performs exactly how God created it to function. I command my "organ" to be normal size, green numbers, and healthy function.”

I didn’t feel a thing, but I kept declaring it!

The next year, I returned to the doctor’s office for my annual physical, and look what the Lord has done. God is faithful!

Proverbs 18:22 TPT When a man finds a wife, he has found a treasure! For she is the gift of God to bring him joy and pleasure. It amazes me that I almost didn’t recognize my gift from God. Stacy and I met in our local church. She noticed me first and introduced herself by baking me a sweet potato pie and giving it to me as a gift after worship service. I received the gift and ate the entire pie that evening. I must admit, I'm not typically a fan of sweet potato pie, but I have to say, it was surprisingly delicious. I didn’t pay much attention to her subtle hint. A few weeks later, I ended up asking her out to lunch one Sunday after church. She responded that the only time she was free and available was on Friday or Saturday nights. 🤔 (We both knew those were date nights). We went to Olive Garden on our first date and had a good time. I was so focused on moving up the corporate ladder that I didn’t give our relationship a chance initially. I came up with several excuses not to move forward in our relationship. I firmly believe that if I had acted on any one of those lame excuses, I would be unfulfilled today. But God! A relationship that hasn’t been tested can’t be trusted. I went to see the doctor and was suddenly escorted to the emergency room for an emergency appendectomy. When I woke up from surgery, the very first person I saw was Stacy. She was there for me every step while I was recovering. And that’s when my eyes were enlightened and I realized that God had presented a real treasure to me. I proposed to her on my birthday! Stacy brings me joy and pleasure every day of my life. No exaggeration. She is a gift from God. She is patient, kind, funny, relaxed, energetic, helpful, supportive, strong, discerning, appreciative, wise, and understanding. I wish I could describe her to you. 😃 She’s a remarkable “Proverbs 31” wife and a tremendous mother! Oh, and I must tell you that she is the very best cook. It’s true, a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. 😂 God demonstrated His love for me and He continually manifests His love for me through Stacy! I love you, Stacy Alexander and the best is yet to come for us!
