In February, the call finally came.
The sellers of the Lawyers Road property were willing to accept our last offer.
After everything we had been through, the building came back to us, just like Stacy kept saying it would.
There was only one problem.
We still didn’t have a bank.
We agreed to the purchase price, put down 1% earnest money, and negotiated 120 days to close.
We signed the agreement without knowing exactly where the financing would come from.
That’s when another unexpected connection happened.
My friend Scott told me that one of his church members, Mike, worked for a bank. He wasn’t even sure whether Mike’s bank financed churches, but I knew Mike. We had attended church together years ago, and Stacy had known him since they were both in children’s church.
One conversation changed everything.
His bank could help us.
At the same time, we launched our $250,000 matching campaign, and our church's response was miraculous. People gave, sacrificed, believed, and rallied around the vision.
Then came the news we had been praying for:
The bank fully approved us.
We were closing!
And instead of needing the full 120 days, we moved the closing up by an entire month.
On May 26, 2026, after years of praying, preparing, giving, waiting, negotiating, hearing “no,” and watching doors close and reopen, TrueLife Fellowship Church officially became the owner of our new home.
Looking back, I realize the greatest miracle wasn’t simply getting the building.
It was watching God order our steps all the way to it.
Every rejection. Every delay. Every unexpected connection. Every act of generosity. Every temporary solution. Every moment when we didn’t know what would happen next.
God was in all of it.
And as you’ll see in the final blog of this series, getting the keys wasn’t simply the end of our journey; it was the beginning of a new one. Because this was never just about owning a building. It was about having a place from which we could fulfill our assignment, reach more people, and help more people experience True Life.
