Built For This

I want to share something with you that's been on my heart.

We live in a dangerous and difficult world. Every single day, it feels like mass murders are happening.

Recently, I was driving in my car while hearing about another mass murder, this time occurring in my state.

I was groaning in my spirit. You may be asking, “What does that mean?”

Simply, I was agitated and hurt but at the same time I was praying in the spirit or in other tongues.

I said, “Lord, what can be done about this? What can we do?”

I don't want to get into any political debates because politics is not the solution.

He responded to me in a very profound way.

Before I share His response, I was thinking about how our generation considers these killings as inhumane, frightening, alarming, scary, and depressing. These evil deeds are overwhelmingly sad and heartbreaking. This is not normal for us. Our teachers and classrooms never trained us to hide and be silent because there may be a potential shooter in our school.

But… unfortunately, this is normal for our children.

The Lord began to talk to me and I believe that it will bring you comfort.

He said, “your children, and some of you, your grandchildren will shut this down. Your children and your grandchildren will put a stop to this mass murdering and bring this to an end. They will stop it before it even happens. They will get out in front of it. They're going to know the signs. They're going to know how to read into situations. They will know how to investigate someone and see what they're saying on social media. They will hear their private conversations and in some cases, know precisely what someone is even thinking. I will give them the gift of knowledge and I will give them the wisdom to know what to do even when they don’t know what to do.”

Our children will shut this down. Our grandchildren will shut this down.

They are going to get out ahead of this thing. They're going to have the wisdom of God, to know what to do when us older people don't know what to do. They're going to know where to look, how to hear, and how to find and stop mass murders before they even occur. Our children and grandchildren are the solution.

I have hope today because this kind of mass murdering is coming to an end.

Release your faith with me and say this out loud, “This is coming to an end now. In Jesus' name.”

It is well with my soul. I'm not gonna let evil reports depress me because it is well with my soul.

God has provided a solution and it's our children and our grandchildren. They're the solution.

Have you heard people say this, “I couldn't live back in the 60s or some other sort of crazy timeframe.”

Well, that's why you weren't born back then. You're right, you couldn't live back then but God knew when you could live. And He knows when our children should be here. They're not here by accident but by divine appointment for such a time as this.

So don't have any fear for your children because they're built for this time. They're built for this season. Your grandchildren are built for this generation. And they're going to know what to do when we don't know what to do.

Will you pray this prayer with me for our children and grandchildren?

Father, I pray over every young person. I pray over everyone under the age of 21 years old and I declare that they are ready. They are ready for such a time as this. They are born for this time. You have already equipped them and are giving them the knowledge and the understanding of how to be victorious in their generation. Our children, by Your Spirit, will not allow these things to continue to happen. They will put a stop to it in the name of Jesus, and you will get all the honor, all the glory, all the praise. Satan can't win because Jesus is Lord, Amen!

In the meantime, remember to declare Psalm 91 over you, your family, your church family and your friends.
