Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.

One of the most fundamental needs of human beings is to be accepted. To accept means to receive as adequate or valid; to regard favorably; to be hospitable; and to welcome. Our Father God has accepted us unconditionally. Shouldn't we accept others in like manner?

What Are You Expecting?

What are you expecting? You get what you expect. To expect means to look forward to; to regard as likely to happen; to earnestly desire; to anticipate the occurrence or the coming of; to anticipate a birth. Expectation is the breeding ground for miracles. What if God said, "Today, I will give you what you are expecting?" What would you receive?

The Power of God

And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Sometimes we place a lot of emphasis on how articulate a minister delivers a sermon, or how persuasive they were when they made their appeal before the people. However lately, God has impressed my heart for me to expect more demonstation of the Spirit and of power and less eloquent speech. We live in an era where the intellect is praised and demonstration of Gods power is unsought or ridiculed.

1 Thessalonians 1:5
For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power...

The gospel is always to be accompanied with power. Jesus went about preaching, teaching, AND healing (Matthew 4:23; 9:35) and Jesus said we would do greater things than even He did (John 14:12). Recognize the greater one lives in you (1 John 4:4) and He wants to produce miracles, signs, and wonders in you and through you.

1 Corinthians 4:20
For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.

Take an opportunity today to demonstrate the power of God! Pray for someone who is sick, call someone and encourage them, give someone some money. Do whatever it takes to demonstrate the love and power of our God!

Put God First

God wants you to put Him first place in every area of your life. You need to put God first in your life. To put Him first means to give Him priority, chief place, your preference, treat Him extremely valuable, most important, and before all others! Fear Not!

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

God and fear do not mix. God has not given us a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). God opposes fear because fear will cause us not to believe Him and will directly connect us with the devil. God operates by faith and satan functions by fear.

God gives us several reasons in this verse as to why we are not to fear. He actually commands us not to fear. He says, "Fear not" and here is why:

- For I am with you

- I am your God

- I will strengthen you

- I will help you

- I will uphold you

Think about this. Our only job is to believe that God will do His job. Fear incurs that we do not believe God. Faith implies that we believe God.
